Meeting George W. Bush
In 2001, the McCaugheys were invited to meet President George W. Bush in person. It was both an honor and a logistical challenge to get everyone ready.
The children arrived well dressed and instantly drew attention, highlighting again how unusual and captivating their story was to the country.
